Timeline for fall 2025 volunteer applications

Step 1: July 14 – Aug. 1

• Call (352) 265-0360 to register for a mandatory in-person information session.

Deadline to register: Aug. 1 at 4 p.m.

Step 2: Attend a mandatory information session

Choose one of the following dates to attend:

• Aug. 5 (1 p.m. to 2 p.m.)
• Aug. 6 (10 a.m. to 11 a.m.)

These sessions are required and will explain the next steps to become a volunteer.

Step 3: Attend an onboarding session

At your information session, you will select one of the following dates for onboarding:

• Aug. 13 (9 a.m. to noon)
• Aug. 14 (9 a.m. to noon)

Step 4: Finalize your volunteer placement

Complete all remaining steps between Aug. 15 and Sept. 19 to secure your volunteer position.

Parking

Volunteer Services provides complimentary parking for volunteers who are not employed by UF or ÍøºìºÚÁÏ. If you are not employed by UF or ÍøºìºÚÁÏ, you can park in the east or west visitor parking garages for the volunteer on-boarding process. Parking vouchers will be provided at the volunteer office. Below are the locations of our visitor parking garages.

• Gated Garage 10 (East)
  Located on the northeast corner of Archer Road and Newell Drive across from the pediatric E.R.
• Levels 3 and 4 of Garage 2 (West)
  Adjacent to Wilmot Gardens on the northwest corner of Archer Road and Center Drive across from ÍøºìºÚÁÏ Shands Medical Plaza (accessed from both Mowry Road and Gale Lemerand Drive )
• Parking and driving directions

Baby cuddling volunteers

Due to high demand, baby cuddling spots are currently full. However, you can start volunteering in another area and transition to baby cuddling when a spot opens.
