In its annual Best Children’s Hospitals rankings, U.S. News ranked the following five ÍøºìºÚÁÏ pediatric programs among the nation’s best this year:

  • Cardiology and Heart Surgery – 38th nationally
  • Diabetes and Endocrinology – 33rd nationally
  • Pulmonology & Lung Surgery – 23rd nationally
  • Cancer – 49th nationally
  • Pediatric and adolescent behavior health – top 50 in the nation

ÍøºìºÚÁÏ Shands Children’s Hospital is expanding to exceed the needs of our pediatric patient populations. We will have 204 licensed beds in the children’s hospital when our expansions are complete. Independent doctors are not employed by ÍøºìºÚÁÏ, but may provide medical care at one of our locations.

Training and education

With over 180 outstanding faculty members, comprising the full range of subspecialty and general pediatrics, our educational program provides a well-balanced experience. Our pediatric residency program, offering a superb entry point either into the practice of pediatrics or into further subspecialty training and an academic career.
