Pulmonologist (Lung Specialist)
I am an assistant professor of surgery and the director of abdominal transplant critical care in the University of Florida Division of Transplantation and Hepatobiliary Surgery. My aim is to optimize care for transplant patients in the ICU, both preoperatively and postoperatively, to decrease morbidity and mortality. I specialize in abdominal transplant, transplant critical care and pulmonary and critical care with an interest in extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) in lung transplantation.
I received my medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and completed my internal medicine residency at Wright State University. I completed a fellowship in pulmonary disease and critical care at UF, where I subsequently joined the faculty.
The field of medicine has always been fascinating to me, and being a physician grants me the privilege to take care of patients and the opportunity to advance the field of medicine.
I am humbled to be this position, one that affords me the opportunity to provide pristine care to patients and work with transplant team members to increase candidacy for transplants or overall outcomes of transplant recipients.
Outside of practice, I enjoy cooking and exercising.
