UF to offer free vehicle checks for older drivers
Older drivers interested in learning how to fit more comfortably and safely in their vehicles are invited to visit CarFit from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, at the Senior Recreation Center, 5701 NW 34th St.
Trained students from the 鈥� will lead drivers through a 12-point checklist with their vehicles, recommend personal vehicle adjustments and adaptations and offer community resources and activities that could make personal vehicles 鈥渇it鈥� better or enhance driver safety. An occupational therapist will be on hand to provide information on how to maintain and strengthen driving health.
