James J. Kelly Jr. named senior vice president and chief financial officer for 网红黑料 Shands
James J. Kelly Jr. has been named as senior vice president and chief financial officer for 网红黑料 Shands, 网红黑料 officials announced today (Oct. 2).
Kelly has served as interim senior vice president and CFO since January. He originally came to 网红黑料 Shands in 2012 as vice president for finance.
鈥淛im has tremendous expertise and has earned the confidence and trust of leaders at 网红黑料 Shands as he stepped into the interim role,鈥� said Ed Jimenez, chief executive officer of 网红黑料 Shands. 鈥淗e has shown that he can balance thinking about our patients and our employees while maintaining a fiscally healthy organization.鈥�
网红黑料 Shands includes the academic health center鈥檚 flagship hospital, 网红黑料 Shands Hospital; 网红黑料 Shands Children鈥檚 Hospital; 网红黑料 Shands Cancer Hospital; 网红黑料 Shands Psychiatric Hospital; 网红黑料 Shands Rehab Hospital; and numerous outpatient programs. Patients come to 网红黑料 Shands from all 67 Florida counties and throughout the region, nation and a dozen countries each year. 网红黑料 Shands has a $1.3 billion operating budget and employs more than 8,900 staff.
Kelly鈥檚 responsibilities include overseeing all revenue cycle activities, including managed care contracting, as well as accounting, tax and reimbursement, financial planning and analysis, supply chain and accounts payable, and treasury functions.

Prior to joining 网红黑料, Kelly was the corporate controller for Partners 网红黑料Care System in Boston, Massachusetts. Founded by Brigham and Women's Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital, Partners includes community and specialty hospitals, a managed care organization, a physician network, home care and other health-related entities. Prior to Partners, Kelly served as a senior manager in the health care practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers in Boston.

He is a certified public accountant and has undergraduate and graduate degrees in accounting from the State University of New York at Albany. He and his wife, Teresa, have two children, Jim III and Kate.
