UF nursing faculty member receives journal’s Golden Pen Award
University of Florida College of Nursing assistant professor Nancy Menzel, Ph.D., R.N., recently won the 2005 Golden Pen Award from Slack Inc., the publisher of the American Association of Occupational Nurses Journal. The Golden Pen Award is an annual award recognizing excellence in writing.
Menzel was honored for her 2004 article “Back Pain Prevalence in Nursing Personnel.” The article described the increasing number of workplace injuries in nursing personnel, primarily musculoskeletal disorders, and offered solutions to obtain more accurate information on this persistent problem.
