The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society has named University of Florida molecular geneticist Edward Scott, Ph.D., one of the five Stohlman Scholars it selects annually.

Scott, who directs UF’s Program in Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine and is an associate professor of molecular genetics at the UF Shands Cancer Center, participated in the Stohlman Scholar Symposium at the society’s annual leadership conference Nov. 6-7 in Cleveland. He led a presentation on adult stem cell plasticity and also was honored at a luncheon held by the organization’s board of trustees.
